Company Data
/dataSelect the fields you need for one or more companies. Pricing is per field, charged only when data exists. Lightweight fields like core registry data and officers are 1 credit each. Richer fields like financials, energy and emissions, and corporate structure range from 2 to 5 credits. Historical financials and historical energy and emissions are 5 credits per year of history, capped at 25 credits. Some sections contain both standard and premium subfields; Developer receives the standard subfields. See each field's access label in the API reference.

/searchRun structured filters to find matching UK companies. Each successful search costs 10 credits and returns a paginated list of company numbers. Empty result sets are free. Premium filters are available during the Sandbox trial and on Team or Enterprise; see the API reference for request limits.

/contextRetrieve company news, tagged website sections, full annual accounts narratives, and AI-extracted filing sections for RAG and agent workflows. News and website context are available on every plan and cost 10 credits when content is returned. Accounts context requires premium data access; preview mode is 1 credit per filing and full extraction is 10 credits per filing. Empty result sets are free.

How do credits work?
One credit equals one unit of data work. Most non-/data endpoints charge 10 credits when results are returned; /context/accounts can also charge per filing, with preview mode at 1 credit per filing. The /data endpoint is priced per field, charged only when data exists, ranging from 1 to 5 credits per field. Each usable Magic Insights company answer costs 3 credits from the same allowance. What happens if I hit my monthly credit limit?
When you reach your monthly credit allowance, further requests return a 402 response until your allowance resets or you upgrade to a higher tier. There is no overage billing, so you will never receive a surprise charge. We notify you at 80% and 100% of your included credits so you have time to upgrade if you need to.
Can I try the API for free?
Yes. New accounts start on Sandbox with 1,000 credits, premium data, and Magic Insights for 14 days. No card is required, and the account does not automatically become a paid plan. Contact sales to move to Developer, Team, or Enterprise.
Can I use the API alongside an existing ZINT subscription?
Yes. If you have an existing ZINT account, please contact your account manager to discuss combined commercial terms.
What is Enterprise actually for?
Enterprise is for organisations that need a custom credit allowance or want to discuss licensing and integration terms with our team. It includes premium data and Magic Insights access.
